An ending that is really a beginning

Dear praying friends,

The three intense weeks of the 2017 Dallas GPA are drawing to a close. Today, Dr. Richard taught the final Master Coach sessions and joined the pastors in a special wrap-up time of sharing and prayer. Tomorrow, the Lord willing, many RREACH friends will gather for the GPA graduation dinner, a time of celebration and commissioning.

Please pray for these final hours in Dallas to be rich for our 29 fine young pastoral leaders. As Dr.  Richard says, the real GPA work begins as these men go back to the demands and stresses of ministry in their 29 different countries. Pray that the connecting, uniting and strengthening they experienced here will multiply into greater proclamation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

2017 GPA delegates: Connecting, uniting, strengthening

Intercede for Dr. Richard as he finalizes and delivers his graduation talk.

The RREACH and GPA staff also appreciate prayer as we strive to create a first-class experience for the pastors down to the final details, and to honor the Lord Jesus Christ in how we speak and serve amid all the responsibilities and demands. Much is yet to be done to host the banquet and to get the pastors safely on their way home (pray for safe travels, too!)

GPA Honduras has its graduation this weekend, as well. Pray for the Lord’s rich blessing on that special event and on the pastors as they go forward better connected, united and strengthened to serve.

Thank you, friends, for caring and praying.

“This is what God has made me to do”

Dear praying friends,

Great news from Dr. Ramesh Richard in Thailand: “The Lord just gave us a great harvest at a private gathering of about 100 opinion leaders, with 60% being pre-Christian, and all of them want to know about Jesus. Eight or more of them received Jesus today. Follow-up has begun! This is what God has made me to do—Proclaim His Word and multiply Proclaimers of His Word to deliver spiritual health to large numbers of individuals worldwide.”

Dr. Richard also spoke to a gathering of 1,000 Christian leaders about the tremendous need for pastoral training, and this weekend he is to speak to a large group of missionaries in Southeast Asia. Next week he flies back, the Lord willing, in time for the start of the 2017 Dallas GPA. Please ask the Lord to continue to speak through and sustain this “Vagabondslave.”

We’re also praising God for granting 29 pastors the visas they need to attend the Dallas GPA, which begins June 4! Pray for final preparations—on our side to welcome them and on their side to come to the U.S. Pray for smooth and safe travels, protection of loved ones, and a powerful three weeks of connecting, uniting and strengthening.

Please also remember the GProCommission team in their massive post-GProCongress effort to connect and nurture pastoral trainers and pastoral training.

Timely GProCongress needs: program development, delegate recruitment, financial investment

Dear praying friends,

This week Dr. Richard has the unexpected pleasure of juggling his schedule to meet with three different influential international guests. Please pray for safe travels for each and mutual blessing from their connections. Also pray for the GProCongress team, as from various points around the globe they pour effort toward the event, now only 426 days away. Other essential needs for the Congress include:

  • a strategically-timed surge in funding
  • a team to support Dr. Richard in program development, delegate recruitment and external communications
  • smooth registration process

On the GPA front, GPA Peru is set to begin this Thursday, April 16. Other national GPAs scheduled prior to the 2015 Dallas GPA include Indonesia, Benin and Cambodia. Intercede for at least 25 choice candidates for each, protection over organizers and attendees, and for great connecting, uniting and strengthening!

Dallas GPA candidates need persistent prayer regarding visas and airfare funding. This year a record 12 pastors were denied visas. However, 20 visas have been granted, and we trust the Lord to bring just the right fine young lead pastors. Please also pray for the GPA team as we seek to coordinate an exceptional experience for them.
