Quiet, please

Dear praying friends,

Quiet, concentrated time to pray, study, think, write and edit remains at a premium for Dr. Ramesh Richard. Please pray for uninterrupted, creative space in his schedule. Over April, May and June his schedule is especially demanding; he has six trips (five of them overseas), a RREACH board meeting and the Dallas GPA.

Praise—we’re up to 18 Dallas GPA candidates with visas! Although many others have been denied visas and some have had to withdraw due to schedule conflicts, the group continues to grow as we pray. Please join us in thanking God for His always-good answers, even as pastors apply for visas now and next week and most are working and praying hard to fund their portion of the airfare. Thank Him, too, for the many RREACH friends whose generosity makes the Dallas GPA possible.

Pastors at GPA Senegal

Additional reasons for praise—22 pastors graduated from GPA Senegal, which also drew seven added attendees. Up next are GPA Guinea Conakry and GPA St. Vincent and the Grenadines, both April 20 – 29. We’re grateful for the RREACH Ministries and GProCommission teams, who serve prayerfully and with excellence.

Downpour delay; please pray

Praise God for watching over Dr. Richard, and pray, too. Dr. Richard is scheduled to leave Dallas for Indonesia at 6:40pm tomorrow for another key GProCongress vision trip. However, he is in South Carolina, and each flight he has gotten on today has been delayed and then canceled because of torrential rains. There is the possibility of a very early morning flight to Dallas tomorrow.

We know that our Sovereign God is not surprised and has plans to “do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,” (as Dr. Richard has reminded us recently!)

Please pray for a safe, expedited journey to Dallas and then Indonesia for Dr. Richard, and praise God for what great things He will do. Dr. Richard may even get the opportunity to introduce someone specific to the Lord Jesus Christ because of the altered flights!

14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. Eph. 3:14-21 NASB

Serving in an Attitude of Praise

Dear praying friends,

“Who can list the glorious miracles of the Lord? Who can ever praise Him enough?” (Psalm 106:2 NLT) At the beginning of 2015, Dr. Richard expressed the desire that throughout the year RREACH would maintain an atmosphere of praise. From the perspective of praise, the steadily increasing responsibilities and challenges of the past nine months have been opportunities to grow in love, obedience and thanksgiving to our glorious and faithful Lord God. Your prayerful support is so essential in this. Thank you! Please keep on!

Join in giving thanks that Dr. Richard returned home safely from his Myanmar/Thailand/Canada trip, and that it was fruitful. We ask special intercession for a set of major GProCongress meetings this week. Much needs to be decided and done. Intercede for:

  • the Congress Core team
  • 1,500 registrants by November 15
  • all 185 speaking/presenting slots to be strategically filled
  • generous giving to meet Congress preparation deadlines

Please also ask the Lord Jesus’ great favor and protection over the 248 Dallas GPA and 1,169 national GPA grads serving in more than 80 countries worldwide.

Finally, let us continue to lift our hearts with the Psalm 106 writer, saying, “Praise the Lord! Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever” (v. 1).

God’s Total Protection and Global Provision

Dear praying friends,

It’s been a little over a year since we specifically began asking God for Total Protection and Global Provision concerning the GProCongress. He has indeed protected and provided through this time, to the praise of His glory. Some specific areas of thanks:

  • A fine Core team
  • An outstanding venue, the Impact Center, at an excellent price
  • Health and safety during increased responsibility and travels
  • The right funding at the right time

Please continue to intercede for Total Protection and Global Provision especially in mobilizing delegates, procuring speakers and meeting the financial requirements of executing an event of this size and caliber. Pray for all to be done wisely, well, and without delay. Thank you!

“The Lord humbled me this morning…”

Dear friends,

Today RREACH  received news that we couldn’t wait to share with you!

The office has been in prayer for Pastor J. from Zimbabwe, who has been accepted to the 2014 Dallas GPA and was trying to secure a U.S. visa.

A fine young pastor, Pastor J. was accepted to the 2013 Dallas GPA, but was denied twice by the U.S. Embassy in his application for a U.S. visa and was unable to come.

Once a person is denied for a visa, it is very difficult to be approved to receive one. Today we received news that Pastor J.’s visa application was approved! His email alerting us of this news began this way:

The Lord humbled me this morning. I got the US visa. He showed me His kindness, mercy and love. I am so full of praise of Him at the moment. I cannot stop to say, Thank You Lord.

Please join us in praising God for this astounding turn of events. Also, please be in prayer for the other 15 pastors who have been accepted to the Dallas GPA. Four others have secured visas.

Specifically pray:

  • That visa appointments would be scheduled soon, and the Lord would grant success in these applications.
  • For the selection of at least an additional 10 pastors, especially those representing countries that have not yet been represented at the Dallas GPA.
  • For pastors’ efforts to raise their half of the airfare to Dallas.

Praying RREACH into the New Year

Dear friends,

New Year greetings on behalf of Dr. Ramesh Richard! We ask you to join us in prayer for all that this next year might hold.

Dr. Richard’s 2014 State of Humanity address today became available to a large swath of humanity. Please enjoy it at LifeRocks.org or “like” our LifeRocks page on Facebook. God overwhelmed us with the response to the 2013 Media Outreach effort. For a detailed look at the response we received, click here.

Please also pray for the 2014 Media Outreach efforts:

  • For the newly revised social media- and Internet-based Media Outreach strategy to reach many seekers and those who haven’t even thought of seeking the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • For all who will watch Dr. Richard’s videos; ask that they will hear and receive the message.
  • For discerning conversations with our follow-up team as they respond to questions.
  • For sufficient funding to maximize the outreach.

Today we also enter year five of our decade-long human capital campaign, the Global Proclamation Commission. Please pray for God’s presence, provision and protection for this mega project and especially for the location of the Global Pastoral Trainers Congress.

In light of the recent super typhoon that devastated the Philippines, we’ve found it necessary to prayerfully consider the next steps of the Congress. Humanly speaking, it no longer appears that the Congress can be held in that country in 2016. Please specifically pray for wisdom, gratitude and humble confidence to make the right connections for the Congress.

All that we are looking forward to comes on the heels of an amazing year marked by God’s faithfulness. To read more about our ministry efforts in the most recent quarter, along with a devotional from Dr. Richard, a prayer calendar and more, please view the online version of our newsletter, the RR Crossing, here. If you’d like to begin receiving our newsletter (online or in hard copy), please email me at edie@rreach.org.

Our RREACH motto “Only God” is the only thing we actually know for sure. Having wrapped up 2013, if even one of our plans will see fruition, or if one of our needs is to be met in 2014 and beyond—Only God will do it. We know you pray for all our fund budgets to be met. Please join me in praising the Lord in advance for letting us find all the resources He has reserved for us. If you want to make a 2014 tax-deductible gift to RREACH, you can do so soon in the New Year or all year long at our secure online donation site.

Praise report: Balkan States trip

Dear Friends,
Greetings on behalf of Dr. Ramesh Richard! Please accept our deep thanks for praying for Ramesh Richard during his seven-day trip to the Balkan States in Southeastern Europe.

The Lord used His servant in wonderful ways during the trip. I’m happy to share some praises with you!

pastors prayingDr. Richard began his time teaching at GPA Balkan States, which included 27 pastors from the countries of Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Macedonia.

In this war-torn region that has experienced social  oppression, ethnic cleansing and betrayal, many of the pastors were cautious at first when getting to know each other.

On the first Sunday, three pastors from different countries–all had served in the military during the same time period–shared their life-stories. One pastor who served in the Bosnian Special Forces spoke about dodging land mines during the war. His fellow pastor from a different country said, “I was putting in those land mines.”

After sharing, the three pastors knelt and prayed together with all the other pastors surrounding them.

Praise God, the walls within Christ’s Church in that region are coming down. The pastors who attended said they appreciated RREACH’s work, adding, “this has opened our eyes to what it is to study and preach the Scriptures.”

radio interview

Praise the Lord for two powerful media opportunities for Dr. Richard to present Christ: while in Montenegro, the least-evangelized country in Southeastern Europe, a nationally televised interview; and the next day, in Serbia, an hour-long interview on Orthodox Radio, with two million listeners. Dr. Richard continually weaved in salvation by grace through faith, and his interviewer, a fine Orthodox theologian, seemed so encouraged that he came to the evangelistic meeting that evening.

evangelistic event

Give thanks to God for two evangelistic dinners at which Dr. Richard spoke. The first was attended by 30 business professionals in Montenegro. Thirteen were pre-Christian and two trusted in the Lord Jesus! In Serbia, Dr. Richard gave an evangelistic address at a coffee shop where they expected 20 to come and 85 showed up.

Thank you again for your continued prayers for RREACH and Dr. Richard!
