RREACH Daily Prayer Reminder – April

Dear praying friends,

Many have told us they use the daily prayer calendar from our RR Crossing newsletter, so we are expanding it to more accessible and updateable formats. We hope this will accelerate how you can find out what God is doing through RREACH and pray.

Each month we will post a set of daily requests here on the prayer blog, in addition to our weekly updates. Utilize them in whatever way works best for you.

Thank you for joining us in praying. It means more than you can know and helps explain the impact God grants this ministry. The following reminders cover the next half of April.

Faithful in doing

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • Praise God for a wonderful weekend of vision-casting with long-time and new RREACH friends.
  • Pray for Dr. Richard’s 15-day, five-country trip to sensitive areas in Asia.
  • Praise for continuing visa approvals for Dallas GPA candidates; please continue to pray!
  • Praise for the recently completed national GPA in Madagascar and pray for upcoming ones in Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau, Panama and Indonesia (women’s).
  • Uphold Bonnie Richard’s mother, Joyce, who had a serious fall.

RREACHABILITY [2019]-29 to post online

Four Dallas Global Proclamation Academy graduates now studying at Dallas Seminary joined RREACH’s vision-casting weekend. They prayed over the ministry in their primary languages: Tagalog (Pastor N, Philippines), English (Pastor G, Cameroon), Mongolian (Pastor C, Mongolia) and French (Pastor D, Haiti).

We’re grateful for the 70+ long-time and new friends who joined Dr. Richard last weekend for an overview of RREACH’s next decade of ministry. Praise God for how He has used Dr. Richard and RREACH to change how large numbers of individuals think and hear about the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray that we will be faithful in doing what He has laid before us. Pray for creativity, clarity, perseverance, provision in all ways, and fruit beyond expectation.

Dr. Richard has just left for Asia, where God has opened doors for proclamation and encouraging leaders in some spiritually needy areas. We are unable to disclose locations ahead of time due to local situations. Please ask for His guidance and protection, for the good news of the Lord Jesus to penetrate the neediest places, and for productive meetings with RREACH’s international team members.

Although we received word of three visa denials this week, God has granted 15 pastors visas to attend the 2019 Dallas GPA, seven from new or under-represented countries. Praise Him! We are praying for at least 10 more, and for even more new countries to be represented. Also intercede for us as we prepare to make this a life-changing time for these special young pastors.

The reasons for praise just keep coming. GPA Madagascar finished last week. Pray that these 19 leaders will preach, think and live biblically as they return to their homes and ministries. Also pray for preparations for GPA Guatemala, GPA Guinea-Bissau, GPA Panama and GPA Indonesia (women’s).

Bonnie Richard’s mother, Joyce, fell this week and had surgery. Please ask the Lord to sustain her through the recovery process and that Joyce’s firm belief that “God is in charge” will be a powerful witness to everyone helping care for her.

Thank you for praying!

Translations, GPA prep, and a recording session

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • Praise God! Dr. Richard was able to take a couple of days away for prayerful planning.
  • Thank God for progress made toward translating RREACH’s evangelistic and pastoral training products into Spanish, French, Hindi, Arabic and other languages.
  • Glory to God! Several visas in a row have been granted to 2019 Dallas Global Proclamation Academy candidates.
  • Pray for Dr. Richard’s upcoming filming of Scripture Sculpture and the postponement of a trip to Haiti.

The bigger picture:

Dr. Richard is thankful he was able to get away for a couple of precious days of intensive and prayerful planning. Please pray for more opportunities like this in the coming months, which appear quite full. Pray that Dr. Richard will be able to maximize those times.

God is granting good progress toward getting quality translations of LifeRocks, Dr. Richard’s media-based evangelistic outreach, and of some of his pastoral training materials. Pray for accuracy and capacity for more languages. Pray, too, for reasonable pricing.

A huge praise: Seven 2019 Dallas GPA candidates’ visa applications in a row have been approved! To date, 12 pastors plan to come, six from un- or under-represented countries. Pastors from Ghana, Cambodia and Solomon Islands have upcoming appointments. Many others are working on their applications and scheduling appointments. Thank you for praying and please continue. Also pray for GPA Madagascar, set to begin this week. Ask for God’s hand to be on organizers as they finish preparations and for the right 25 attendees.

Dr. Richard was scheduled to minister in Haiti later this week. However, because of the volatile situation there, the events are being postponed. Please intercede for Haiti and for the many other areas around the world in turmoil. Pray for God’s intervention—for safety, provisions, resolution of conflict, and especially for pastors and their families as they minister in those areas. Please also lift up Dr. Richard’s Scripture Sculpture recording sessions this week.

Thank you!

In his words: Ramesh Richard October update

Dear praying friends,

Last month began at the tail end of a flourishing trip to Costa Rica—two evangelistic events, one large (1000+), and one private (100+), along with launching a national preaching conference at their foremost seminary. This annual conference will grow deep and wide.

RREACH convened two national Global Proclamation Academies. I visited by video with the soon-to-be graduates of the poorest nation of the world (by per capita income). Central African Republic has no consistent electricity, but they found a generator to power the call. I had to talk to them in the dark! Then with 37 younger pastors of a restricted country in Asia, meeting five road-hours away from the glare of their government, I shared a biblical charge by video.

The month concluded by my serving as a leader and speaker at a luxury event to a high-level, private think-tank outside Vail, Colorado. I am grateful to be always learning what the apostle Paul had already learned…the secret of contentment in economic extremes (Phil. 4:12).

Thank you for sending me to proclaim God’s word globally and multiply the proclamation locally. I so value your trust in me and this ministry, and I hope you feel valued, too.

In the Inexhaustible Vine,

RR

Accomplishing His assigned purposes

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • Praise God for using Dr. Richard’s ministry in Costa Rica to profoundly change lives!
  • Pray for Dr. Richard’s upcoming ministry engagements and for wisdom for future opportunities.
  • Pray for an upcoming meeting of proclamation associates in Dallas this fall.
  • Rejoice and pray for about 35 young pastors gathering for a national Global Proclamation Academy (GPA) in a restricted Asian country.

RR at CRCCThe Lord Jesus touched many lives through Dr. Ramesh Richard in Costa Rica last week. Praise Him! Two pre-evangelistic events, a two-day national preaching conference, a meeting of Christian leaders and a Sunday service, in addition to connecting with a number of individuals, filled his five days there. He sensed the support of our prayers.

Please pray for those who made decisions to embrace the Lord Jesus, for the local pastors and believers following up with them, and for the 90-plus pastors who attended the national preaching conference, organized by Pastor M, a Dallas GPA 2012 grad, who holds the RREACH Chair of Biblical Preaching and Pastoral Ministries at ESEPA, a major seminary in Costa Rica.

Dr. Richard has two lengthy international trips, a number of U.S.-based engagements, and multiple key meetings over the coming months. Please pray for the Lord’s hand to be on him and on all the preparations for these events. Pray that He will use Dr. Richard fully to accomplish His assigned purposes.

One upcoming event needing specific intercession is a gathering of proclamation associates in Dallas. Pray for their visas and for resources for this strategic next step in RREACH’s ministry.

GPA Central African Republic, held in that economically difficult country, wrapped up last week. This week a GPA begins in an undisclosed Asian country. Please ask for God’s protection and power over those who have gone back to daily ministry, and over the group gathering now. These national GPAs and other training initiatives are only as effective as their ongoing benefit to the pastors and their ministries. Pray that the Lord will direct and empower us to follow up effectively.

More proclaiming and strengthening proclaimers

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • Please pray for Dr. Richard’s creativity, capacity and Christ-likeness as opportunities arise to proclaim the Lord Jesus.
  • Pray for the Lord Jesus’ clear direction regarding a trip to minister in Venezuela.
  • Give thanks for how God is strengthening GProCommission efforts to connect and resource pastoral trainers.
  • GPA Republic of Congo has started! Pray for them and for upcoming national GPAs planned for Ecuador, Central African Republic, Hungary and a closed country.

RR at Upendo Baptist

Dr. Richard speaking at Upendo Baptist Church’s 20th anniversary in Dallas

The Lord Jesus continues to answer our prayer for openings for Dr. Richard to proclaim Him. On a recent trip, his outbound seatmate had just lost her grandmother and her mother was dying of cancer. He talked and prayed with her. On his return trip, the same woman was again his seatmate! The Lord again allowed him to minister to her. Pray that this woman and others whom Dr. Richard has introduced to the Lord Jesus will receive His new life.

Also please continue to ask the Lord’s direction regarding a potential Venezuela trip. In God’s providence, the applied-for visa has still not been granted and plans are on hold. Intercede for the pastors ministering amid many difficulties there and for the Lord to protect Dr. Richard’s passport.

Uphold the GProCommission team and everyone involved in efforts to strengthen pastoral trainers and multiply pastors. We engage in strategic follow-up action after every Dallas and national GPA and are maintaining follow-up from the GProCongress for Pastoral Trainers. The work is intensive. Please ask the Lord’s provision in human, financial and technical resources and wise implementation of those resources.

Praise God for the pastors gathered for GPA Republic of Congo! Pray for them to be especially connected, united and strengthened. Pray, too, for upcoming GPAs in Ecuador, Central African Republic, Hungary and a closed country.

Praise for a busy summer

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • Praise God for His great blessings on Dr. Richard’s trip to Grenada.
  • Uphold Dr. Richard’s upcoming speaking engagement and recording of short evangelistic talks.
  • We are still waiting for Dr. Richard’s Venezuela visa. This window of opportunity is closing. Please pray.
  • Praise God for GPA Nigeria (Women’s), underway right now.
  • Pray for good GProCommission partnerships to develop.

RR in Grenada 2

Dr. Richard spoke to Grenadian pastors and church leaders about spiritual convictions for leadership service

GPA Grenada finished on a high note last week as Dr. Richard was able to join the 25 young pastoral leaders for their graduation. Praise God and pray that they will remain connected, united and strengthened as they return home to daily demands.

While in Grenada, Dr. Richard also spoke at an event for opinion leaders, in two church services, with the Prime Minister’s cabinet, and for another group of pastors. Several individuals indicated making significant personal decisions. Please ask the Lord for ongoing fruit from his ministry there.

Dr. Richard is scheduled to speak at a Dallas-area church this weekend, record messages for his LifeRocks series on peace early next week, and speak several other times over the next month. Pray for good preparation time and for the Lord’s Spirit to be upon him for these engagements.

We need to make a decision very soon regarding Dr. Richard’s planned trip to minister to Venezuela pastors. Please ask the Lord for Dr. Richard’s visa to arrive immediately and for clarity about moving forward. Pray, also, for the pastors and families serving in this stricken country.

GPA Nigeria, RREACH’s second women’s GPA, began Tuesday. Praise God for the women who have gathered for training in preaching and living biblically. Pray for them to be connected, united and strengthened.

One aim of the GProCommission for Pastoral Trainers is to collaborate with pastoral training organizations around the world. Please intercede for insight on how to best do this. Thank you!
