In his words: Ramesh Richard January 2019 update

Dear praying friends,

HNY is a popular texting abbreviation for a Happy New Year. It is a New Year, certainly, by the Gregorian Calendar, to which all of the world subscribes, though many cultures still have their own calendars running simultaneously, whether Jewish, Chinese or Indian. A New Year is new in the sense of hopes and desires, even a new chance at life itself.

On the very first working day of 2019, 24 of our global staff spanning five time zones in eight countries celebrated much that God did through us last year; anything else would be presumptuous. Echoing Romans 15:18, we lead Gentiles to obey God! Here are a few highlights to share:

  • Twenty-five (of the 300+) leading graduates of the Dallas Global Proclamation Academy (2005-2017) have been inducted as Global Proclamation Associates (GProAssociates). They will serve as alternates, complements and substitutes where and when I can’t go. They are my ministry succession plan.
  • Speaking at the 50th anniversary of a church I helped plant, with its 30 congregations and over 2,000 people, was overwhelming. A thousand memories of slogging to plant a fledgling congregation which would eventually become the central engine of this multi-site endeavor brought me to tears.
  • I was able to lead several “Gentiles to obey God” at a most prestigious dinner made up of about 100 leaders from finance, business and entertainment in a major South Asian city. Over a dozen responded to the invitation and some even rose to applaud—an unknown feature in these circles!

Pray for RREACH to better amplify my proclamation globally and multiply more of His proclaimers locally.

We have much upon us in 2019. I so hope we can see each other face-to-face soon. Thank you for under-girding my proclamation of God’s Word by your goodwill through generosity and prayer. With this new year still young, I wish you God’s great blessings for the year. HNY!

In the Inexhaustible One,

RR

Multi-faceted, multiplicative proclamation ministry

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • Our hearts go out to pastors choosing to serve in desperate situations around the world.
  • Pray for Dr. Richard’s upcoming, multi-faceted trip through several Asian countries.
  • Praise God for the national Global Proclamation Academies completed thus far this year and pray for the final ones.
  • Thank you for upholding the Global Proclamation Associates event coming in a few weeks and please continue.

The Lord willing, these young pastoral leaders will graduate from GPA Chile this week better prepared to preach, think and live biblically.

We’ve recently heard about man-made and natural disasters in Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Indonesia and Costa Rica, and we know that, sadly, many other places are going through tragic events. Would you pray with us especially for the pastors and families serving in these situations? They sacrifice much earthly comfort and gain to represent and proclaim the Lord Jesus amid crisis. Praise God for their amazing witness!

Dr. Richard plans to leave for Asia—many different parts of it—next week. Speaking at outreach events, pastoral training and church health conferences, and one of the fastest-growing churches in the world populate his schedule. Please pray that God will give him wisdom to be strategic with every moment and that the Holy Spirit will speak clearly through him. We cannot overestimate the value of praying for him!

Praise God for the 13 national GPAs that have taken place so far in 2018 and the pastors who have been connected, united and strengthened through them to better serve Christ in their communities. GPA Chile finishes this weekend and GPA The Gambia and GPA Guyana begin today. Pray for all aspects of these and for our preparation for the 2019 Dallas GPA.

In less than four weeks, the Lord willing, a group of select Dallas GPA graduates will gather in Dallas for the launching of Ramesh Richard’s Global Proclamation Associates. Please specifically uphold three pastors who have encountered obstacles in getting their U.S. visas. We are asking the Lord to intervene. Also pray for Dr. Richard and the RREACH staff as we work toward this event. Pray that the Lord Jesus will be honored and that many will draw near to Him through this ministry succession initiative.

More, better and lasting fruit

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • Pray for production of Dr. Richard’s new short evangelistic videos.
  • Praise God for sustaining Dr. Richard through some demanding weeks of speaking, filming and considering RREACH’s future.
  • National Global Proclamation Academy (GPA) action is high: pray for GPAs in Republic of Congo (in process), Ecuador (starting today), and Central African Republic (to begin in a week).
  • Please lift up pastors and pastoral trainers serving in areas of natural or man-made turbulence.

Pastor Tata meeting with other Cameroonian pastors

Pastor T, Dallas GPA 2018, meets with other Cameroonian pastors about escalating conflict in the country. (Note: He is carrying the RREACH water bottle he received at the GPA.) Because of direct threats, Pastor T had to move his family away from their home after he returned from the Dallas GPA. They pray it is a temporary move. This is one glimpse of how your prayers and encouragement of Dr. Ramesh Richard and RREACH are affecting the world. Thank you.

Last week Dr. Richard had two recording sessions, one for LifeRocks evangelistic talks and one for PASTORREACH, an upcoming project addressing questions sent in by pastoral leaders. Praise God for the time he had to prepare for these and for the sessions running well. Pray for good production of the videos and that new elements of LifeRocks will increase people’s exposure to the Lord Jesus, especially in otherwise unreachable socio-economic tiers and geographical areas.

Also praise God for the direction prepared as RREACH board members recently discussed ministry succession. Please pray that this will enable Dr. Richard and RREACH, as the Lord Jesus charged His followers, to “go and bear” more, better and lasting fruit (John 15:16).

Twenty-five young pastors gathered last week for GPA Republic of [perennially troubled] Congo. The Lord willing, they will graduate late this week.

GPA Ecuador is kicking off today and GPA Central African Republic next Thursday. Other national GPAs planned for this fall include Hungary, an undisclosed Asian country, Chile, The Gambia, Guyana, Bolivia and the Solomon Islands. Intercede for attendees to learn and connect well and for God’s protection over all involved; the spiritual warfare can be intense.

Please remember all pastors and pastoral trainers around the world who serve in difficult—even humanly impossible—circumstances. Ask the Lord Jesus to favor them with joy, courage, strength and a sense of His powerful and shielding presence.

Thank you for praying!
