Dr. Richard is returning to full-speed personal proclamation ministry. Ministry training is surging on intentional application of post-GProCongress momentum. Media Outreach is exploring a new endeavor. Would you please continue to hold Ramesh and this ministry before the Lord? Here are a few specific praises and requests.
The RREACH staff and extended RREACH ministries and GProCommission teams gathered in Dallas for a week of intense prayer, planning and partnership-cultivation. Several commented on the Christ-like love they experience through RREACH (one of RREACH’s core operational values). Praise God for the dedication, collaboration, creativity and productivity everyone displayed. Pray for growth in each of those aspects as the teams deploy to serve around the world. Intercede for Dr. Richard as he prayerfully considers all the ideas, options and strategies generated.
The Lord willing, Dr. Richard is to leave for a multi-country SE Asia trip next week. One of his engagements is to speak at GProCongress Indonesia, one of the first national GProCongress follow-up events. Ask for health, strength, discernment and travel mercies for him, and for clear and winsome proclamation of the Lord Jesus Christ.
GPA Vanuatu is scheduled to start March 2 and GPA Senegal March 23. Pray for the right 25 (at least) delegates each and for guidance and provision for the planning teams.
The first two 2017 Dallas GPA candidates who applied for visas were rejected. Ask God for direction on whether they should reapply and for all candidates on how to best approach getting visas. Of the 27 accepted candidates, 12 have visas. Please intercede for God’s great favor on those applying for visas.
Dr. Richard touched down in Dallas for a few days this week to take care of a few important “home front” details and is now in Washington, D.C. for the National Prayer Breakfast. Then, the Lord willing, he will be off to Thailand for the first full set of GProCongress core team meetings onsite in Bangkok. Please pray for God’s clear guidance and provision during these engagements.
Registrations for the Congress continue to move forward steadily; pray for news of the GProCongress to keep spreading. Some are just hearing of it; we are still praying God will bring the right pastoral trainers, up to 5,000, from all different areas of the world. Also ask the Lord to inspire and provide for the many from difficult circumstances who wish to attend.
Thank you for remembering Dr. Richard’s family in prayer, as well. Please intercede for special protection, provision, direction, correction and connection over each, from Bonnie, Ryan, Robby, Nathalie, Joshua and Emma, and Sitara, to his father, Dr. John Richard, and siblings. Pray that their love for the Lord Jesus Christ will grow and that He will be glorified through them. Thank you!
Dr. Richard traveled to Taiwan early last week for a number of GProCongress vision-casting meetings. God continues to answer prayer for opportunities to introduce the GProCongress to Christian leaders, often through the thoughtful recommendations of Dr. Richard’s global connections. Please ask the Lord for strong participation among pastoral trainers from around the world toward this Church Health movement.
Early registration for the GProCongress ended January 15. We have 1,600 initial registrations from 90 countries. While a very good response, much has to be done to translate the registrations into full payments. Pray for the highest number and right kind of delegates—up to 5,000 from 200 countries. We trust God and request intercession for the ongoing, critical work of recruiting Congress delegates. The Lord willing, Dr. Richard will visit a pivotal yet difficult region on this trip. Pray for discernment and favor, and for God to make a way for pastoral trainers in this area to be well represented at the Congress.
This week Dr. Richard’s schedule includes preaching lectures at Heritage College and Seminary in the Toronto and Ottawa areas, as well as GProCongress vision-casting. Pray for the Lord to speak clearly through him, and for several possible individual contact opportunities in the area to mature. Next week, the Lord willing, the Congress Core team will convene in Dallas for several days of meetings. These are their final meetings for the year and much needs to be accomplished. Please begin praying now for their travel and time together.
Many Congress applicants are requesting prayer that they will be able to raise the money needed for registration fees and airfare to the Congress. Let’s ask the Lord to provide for them in special ways, as we do for delegates to the Dallas GPA. Ask Him to provide for RREACH, too, as we seek to cover all other Congress-related costs for these pastoral trainers. Pray also for our communication with those who have been accepted but need to finish the registration process.
GPA Lesotho delegates
Finally, praise God for a good start to GPA Lesotho! Pray for the 25 delegates’ connecting, uniting and strengthening throughout the week; graduation is scheduled for Oct. 3.
Thank you for praying Dr. Richard through a short GProCongress mobilization visit to Orlando. As this is being written, he is in the air on his way to Myanmar and then Bangkok for more Congress mobilization and program planning. The Lord willing, he is to come back via Canada to lecture on preaching in two different cities as well as do additional Congress vision-casting. Please remember the whole Richard family during this higher-pressure time. Pray that they will walk closely with the Lord Jesus Christ, find strength and rest in Him, and that He will be honored in and through their lives.
GPA Lesotho is just beginning. Pray for special connecting, uniting and strengthening there. We are planning on a few more national GPAs coming up this year, the Lord willing, in Trinidad and Tobago, Thailand and Panama. Pray for a full complement of delegates at each and protection and provision for the organizers and teachers.
God has blessed the GProCongress with a wonderful Core team and set of advisers. Ask Him to direct and empower them in helping strengthen pastoral trainers, who have never come together on a global level, through the GProCongress. Thank you!
Praise be to God! He sustained and spoke through Dr. Ramesh Richard through his 48 hours of super-intensity—seven speaking engagements and many important connections. Comments from the young senior pastor of Bethel AG Church to Dr. Richard testify to how the Lord answered our prayers: “Thank you for standing in queue for personal prayers from our prayer volunteers during the 6pm worship session, some actions have spoken very loud…. The pastoral team has picked up from so much from your gracious expressions just as they have from your wonderful messages. Thank you for taking up preaching in all the four services and doing it with such passion and sincerity.” Thank you, pray-ers, for your vital part in Dr. Richard’s ministry.
Also praise God for a good start to GPA Lebanon. Nineteen pastors, some from closed countries in the area, have gathered (one could not come because of his mother’s illness). Continue to lift them, their families, and the organizers and Master Coaches to the Lord.
Despite challenges, the Lord is moving GProCongress preparations forward. Many from Dr. Richard’s recent meetings are enthused about attending and spreading the word. Please pray diligently for this excitement to grow through upcoming vision gatherings, for the registration process to work well, and for the funding to help these eager pastoral trainers.
Praise God for Dr. Richard’s safe arrival in South Asia after 22 hours of travel, and for the surprise blessing of meeting midway a friend and colleague also headed there. Dr. Richard has several speaking engagements for the general council of an influential denomination of churches in a lovely but war-torn country, as well as GProCongress vision meetings. Thank the Lord for these opportunities and ask Him to speak powerfully through Dr. Richard.
The delegate count continues to slowly climb as GPA Lebanon begins in less than a week. Please pray for a full set of 25 pastors, for clear passage as many come from even more troubled regions, for protection during the GPA, and for the Lord’s favor on all involved.
Thank you for continuing to ask the Lord’s favor over the GProCongress. God has shown His providence time and again. Yet, earnest prayer is greatly needed for global provision, especially in the areas of
Funding – large amounts are now being called into play as Congress preparation accelerates
Mobilization – getting the word out among thousands of pastoral trainers and getting them registered
Speakers – finding the right cross-section of pastoral training leaders and their mentees from all over the globe to fill 185 varied slots
And pray for His continued total protection. Thank you, interceding warriors.
The Dallas GPA typically creates the busiest season for Dr. Richard and RREACH, but in this “Year of the GProCongress,” the snowball of preparations is rolling ever-faster and larger along the countdown to Bangkok, now only 11 months away. Dr. Richard has had major meetings with the Congress Core team in Dallas and in Colorado this week. Would you please pray specifically over these team members as they take on impossible tasks believing God is bringing this vision to reality?
After an intense weekend of meetings related to the four-year follow-up of the GProCongress, Dr. Richard is off on another trip. In fact, between now and the beginning of the 2015 Dallas GPA, he expects to be home only three days. Would you please pray with us over the following?
At President Paul Nyquist’s invitation, Dr. Richard will bepresenting the GProCongress during five 5-minute slots throughout the Moody Pastor’s Conference this week. Dr. Richard (and Brian Considine, mobilization director,) will have prime opportunities to share the Congress with potential attendees, networkers, staff, etc., and to make vital connections.
Nepal continues to quake, literally and figuratively, in the aftermath of the massive April 25 earthquake. The Lord willing, Dr. Richard will host a special half-day of encouragement for Nepali pastors and their wives May 29. Thanks to generous RREACH friends, we will also be able to provide each pastor’s family a precious, monetary encouragement, a small “love-gift.”
Praise! Twenty-three pastors now have the visas they need to attend the Dallas GPA. Four more are still attempting to get theirs, which also complicates getting reasonably priced flights to Dallas. We want the Lord’s right 25 (or more) here.
GPA Cambodia is in full swing. They continue until May 23.
The RREACH and GProCongress teams need our Lord Jesus Christ’s total protection and global provision during the intense 20 days until the Dallas GPA and 392 days until the Global Proclamation Congress for Pastoral Trainers—as well as during and for following up each.
We are grateful for you and for your intercession. Know that we pray and praise on your behalf, too!
We’ve prayed him through hectic schedules in Hong Kong and the Philippines. The Lord Jesus graciously granted him numerous meaningful contacts and opportunities to proclaim His name. Now, Dr. Richard has landed in Bangkok for onsite GProCongress meetings. Much is yet to be done in the 441 days until June 15, 2016!
Please ask the Lord to streamline the team’s discussion, decisions and action directly toward extending, expanding and intensifying pastoral training efforts worldwide.
Pray for the Holy Spirit’s confirmation of the right person/s for and clear understanding of the critical role of Program leader.
Logistics—whether spreading the word about the Congress, running the application process, negotiating contracts, maintaining program security and viability, and many other nuts-and-bolts aspects—need total protection and global provision so that the entire GProCongress experience honors God.
We are deeply grateful for key leaders and organizations of the faith who are giving of their time, expertise and affirmation to this undertaking. Please pray for the Lord’s favor to be upon each.
New applications have been received recently from pastors in countries never before represented at the Dallas GPA, and several pastors already accepted are applying for visas in the next few days. Let’s continue to remember them and the entire upcoming Dallas GPA in prayer. Thank you!
