A wonderful surprise

Dear praying friends,

RREACH just received a wonderful surprise: the independent charity evaluator Charity Navigator has updated our rating to 100! Less than one percent of all the charities evaluated by Charity Navigator have received perfect scores. We are humbly grateful.

Please continue to pray that we will do our best in every way to steward what God has entrusted to us, especially as the RREACH board of directors plans to meet late next week. Also remember the executive team meetings set to take place, the Lord willing, in a couple of weeks.

In the area of Media Outreach, Dr. Richard’s latest video campaign on grief is doing well. Pray for many to hear his talks, engage with us through LifeRocks.org, and ultimately trust the Lord Jesus Christ for their lives.

Work toward the 2018 Dallas GPA continues on schedule. We have filled every Master Coach slot and have accepted 17 pastors, four from new countries. We’re also working toward holding at least 25 national GPAs next year. Please ask God’s direction and favor.

Thank you!

Things we’re thanking God for

Dear praying friends,

We have so many things for which to thank God! Here are just a few:

  • Dr. Richard feels he’s improving after battling a persistent, acute bacterial infection for over a month. His doctor cleared him to attend a consultation of international mission leaders convened by Lausanne in Wittenberg, Germany, over the last few days. Pray for his safe return, continued healing, and energy as he jumps back into the Dallas GPA.
  • We’ve just crossed the halfway mark of the Dallas GPA. The pastors are connecting well, Master Coach sessions are powerful, and everyone is staying healthy. Please ask the Lord Jesus to continue to shine upon and shield this endeavor, that His name may be proclaimed more and better around the world!

2017 Dallas Global Proclamation Academy delegates connecting, uniting and strengthening

  • The national GPA in Honduras began last week and is set to finish this weekend. Praise God for this connecting, uniting and strengthening opportunity; pray for further multiplication.
  • We’re excited that several international RREACH team members plan to come to Dallas for the final portion of the GPA and the Graduation Dinner. Pray for good travel, productive planning and mutual encouragement. Also remember Dr. Richard as he prepares for his graduation talk.

And we thank God for you!

“…to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.” (Jude 25 NASB)

Is it June yet? 2014 Dallas GPA planning underway

Dear friends,

Please join us in prayer for the 2014 Dallas GPA, scheduled for June 8-28, 2014 on the campus of Dallas Theological Seminary.

There may be several months separating us from the actual event, but planning already is underway. (Read more about the Dallas GPA below and see what GPA graduates have to say about their experience).

Please specifically pray:

  • For God’s wisdom in the selection process. More than 45 men have been nominated, and RREACH has received nine completed applications. Four of the applicants are pastors who were accepted to the 2013 Dallas GPA, but were unable to attend. Those pastors have been tentatively accepted to the 2014 Dallas GPA on the basis that they still meet eligibility requirements.
  • For availability and willingness of those who have been invited to serve as Master Coaches, including current and former deans and presidents of evangelical seminaries from around the country and world.
  • For favor as RREACH invites individuals and churches to partner with us – by giving of their resources, their talents and their time – for the 2014 Dallas GPA.
  • For unity and great communication among RREACH staff as planning for the 2014 Dallas GPA ramps up.
  • That the 2014 Dallas GPA would be excellent in every detail, to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.

For His glory,

Edie Ross

Prayer Coordinator

The Dallas Global Proclamation Academy was piloted in 2005 on the campus of Dallas Theological Seminary. The academy brings together 25 to 27 of the world’s finest young pastors for a three-week, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Each class of Dallas GPA pastors sits under world-renowned Master Coaches, including presidents and deans of evangelical seminaries, who join Dr. Richard as GPA faculty each year.

Instruction focuses on three critical and basic needs of all pastoral ministries: biblical spirituality, theological discernment and effective preaching.

Pastors who are accepted to a Dallas GPA must meet stringent criteria, including a documented passion for training other pastors in their regions. Therefore, the reach of the training they receive at the Dallas GPA is extended.

The Dallas GPA is one training component of the decade-long Global Proclamation Commission, which seeks to perpetuate spiritual health worldwide.
