Visits, visas and vision-casting

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • The Lord Jesus blessed Dr. Richard’s trip with deep connections and re-connections.
  • LifeRocks is getting an update to better engage pre-Christians.
  • We’re celebrating the completion of GPA Zambia and a 14th Dallas GPA candidate visa approved!
  • The GProCommission is developing connections across Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.

The bigger picture:

Dr. Richard is en route back to the U.S. after a swift, five-city trip through Singapore, India, Hong Kong and the Philippines. He visited long-time friends, made new friends, cast vision, spoke several times and participated in two memorial services for his dad. He reports that his heart and mind are beginning to adjust after the initial period of grieving. God is using your prayers and expressions of love to help the whole Richard family heal.

RREACH is migrating and updating LifeRocks, our Media Outreach website. Please pray for technological mercies! Also pray for the production and release of the newest LifeRocks video next month. Continue to intercede for more pre-Christians to think more clearly about the Lord Jesus Christ as they view and read our materials.

The fourth national GPA of 2018 is in session. Please ask God to watch over GPA El Salvador attendees and organizers and their families and ministries back home. Praise Him for the 28 young pastors who completed GPA Zambia (2) last week and ask His blessing on their ongoing ministry.

Also thank the Lord for a 14th Dallas GPA candidate who has received a visa. Sadly, another brother who applied this week was rejected. We are waiting to hear results from three others and praying for upcoming appointments for Pastors K from Togo (second attempt), K from Lesotho, and T from Myanmar.

On the GProCommission front, our colleague in Latin America is pursuing partnerships for Spanish pastoral training resources and a mentoring program. Our colleague in the Middle East plans to speak and cast vision at an upcoming conference. Our colleague in Europe is developing alliances with organizations in French-speaking Africa. Please pray for these and for ongoing provision and protection of colleagues and pastoral trainers in all areas.

Thank you!

Still writing…keep praying

Dear praying friends,

Dr. Richard appreciates your ongoing prayer for his writing time. He hopes to get in some productive hours today and next week, with a break in between for speaking engagements. Please pray that the Lord will block internal and external distractions (which seem to multiply inopportunely!) and grant him insight and progress.

A get-together in the next few days offers Dr. Richard the chance to meet new friends and talk about life. Pray that this will be an extraordinary time of fellowship and open the door to lasting relationships. Pray, too, for his time speaking to missions leaders in a country with escalating challenges yet enormous potential.

The GProCommission team continues to labor industriously. Lift up the GProCentral arm, 11 dedicated colleagues located across eight time zones who speak a cumulative 20 languages. They make about 2,100 calls/emails/messages each month to encourage pastoral trainers in over 68 countries, as well as assist with GProCommission material translation.

For the 2018 Dallas GPA, we’ve now accepted 24 pastors, seven from new countries! We’re waiting to hear the results of two visa interviews and praying over five more coming up for R from St. Kitts and Nevis, D from Niger, E from Angola, L from Lesotho, and M from Burkina Faso.

Thank you for praying with and for us!

God is doing great things!

Dear praying friends,

Our God is doing great things! Dr. Richard set that theme for last week’s RREACH Board of Directors meeting using Psalm 126:2b-3:

Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”
The Lord has done great things for us; We are glad.

Be glad with us for the great things God is unfolding through the RREACH ministry:

  • RREACH’s Board is highly encouraged about direction and progress; their next meeting is being planned around a national GPA graduation
  • Interest in the GProCongress is swelling and a number of GProCongress mobilization events, from Orlando to Myanmar, are coming up
  • 28 pastors graduated from politically plagued and impoverished GPA Burkina Faso last Saturday; GPA Lesotho will begin, the Lord willing, this Thursday, Sept. 24
  • Although the RREACH office and our neighbor were burglarized over the weekend, the setbacks appear to be relatively small, and no RREACH staff were present

We are glad for your encouragement and prayers. Please ask the Lord Jesus for His continuing empowerment, protection and provision of Dr. Richard and this ministry, that all nations will see His greatness!

Board meeting, national GPAs, GProCongress vision-casting

Dear praying friends,

After a quick trip to California where he met more great GProCongress networking contacts, Dr. Richard has been prayerfully preparing for today’s RREACH Board meeting. Please pray for all involved as they attend to broad and deep subject matters. The GProCongress remains a key focus. Lift the area of funding to the Lord—both for RREACH to be able to provide this unique opportunity and for those planning to attend to cover their travel costs.

GPA Burkina Faso is set to graduate 28 pastors on Sept. 19, while Lesotho pastors are getting ready for their GPA to begin on the 24th. Cover these graduates and anticipants with prayer for joy, courage, greater connection in Christ and new commitment to preaching the Word.

The Lord willing, Dr. Richard begins another travel marathon next week. He has GProCongress mobilization meetings in Florida, heads to Myanmar for more vision-casting and Thailand for Congress logistics and programming meetings, and returns to North America for Congress mobilization and a seminary preaching lectures in Canada. Please pray for God’s favor on each of these endeavors and for Dr. Richard to remain spiritually and physically healthy. We’ll update you along the way. Thank you!
