In his words: March update from Ramesh Richard

Dear praying friends,

Evaluation is integral to all parts of RREACH—to find out what is going well, what is not, how to keep the former going, and how to improve the latter. This exercise is particularly important in the aftermath of the 2016 Global Proclamation Congress, as we project (but not predict) the next five years.

Three major gatherings held in Dallas recently allowed for this kind of assessment and planning.

  • Our GPro Team came from Atlanta, Beirut, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Kampala, Chennai, Costa Rica and Dallas for three days of deliberate planning of a disciplined four-year follow-up. I believe the Lord (and you) would be pleased with its sophistication. Please pray that our implementation with intensity and excellence will bear immense and lasting fruit!
  • Our primarily Dallas-based team met for three days to rebalance the ministry and solve our board’s concern for leadership-level support to fulfill the charter of RREACH—a personal proclamation mission undergirding a global proclamation vision. God has brought two outstanding leaders to serve as Director of Advancement and Director of Ministries. Pray for integration and coordination with both the Dallas and GPro Teams.
  • The final Dallas gathering was a listening exercise for me. One of the unexpected delights of the GProCongress was the spontaneous eruption of interest by formal training institutions from all over the world. Their quality must be matched with the speed that non-formal training offers. Fifteen leaders (from all over the US, South Africa, Taiwan and the UK) met for 36 hours at Dallas Seminary to consider models of formal and non-formal pastoral training. Again, new ideas and initiatives were birthed, for which we need comprehensive resources. Your prayers are critical. Thank you.

Two recent speaking engagements may be mentioned here. I got to address the heads of 200+ institutions of higher education in Orlando, all of whom were quite discouraged. With declining enrollment in on-campus models, they are looking at cessation, mergers and acquisitions. God used me to give them perspective, inspiration and even direction.

Bonnie and I returned to Trinity Bible Church, our home church about 28 years ago, when our kids were very small, attending AWANA, etc., in our very own town of Richardson. The town is not named after me, though I am the son of a Richard! It was amazing to meet old friends again. It seems like we all grew older at the same pace!

Thank you for praying me forward all over our city, nation and world. Your support makes me deeply thankful, but also terrifically responsible, in clarifying the message of Jesus and the Bible everywhere.

Warmly,

RR

Praise and pray for divine connections and many registrations

Dear praying friends,

Thank you for holding Dr. Richard up during this final stretch to the Global Proclamation Congress. The opposition he faces is constant and comes on all fronts, but the Holy Spirit’s protection and guidance are even more constant, powerful and always/everywhere-present. Praise Him!

Dr. Richard’s vision-casting meeting with 9 of the 10 countries of ASEAN leaders last week, put together in two weeks, was well-attended—a direct answer to prayer. It looked like one key country would not be represented, but God brought in a leader from that nation just two hours before the meeting. Please pray that this session will translate into a surge of registrations. Dr. Richard also spent the weekend in a neighboring region where the Church is thriving quietly but exponentially. Pray for a strongly positive response, and for God to clear the way for many pastoral trainers from this area to attend.

Connections for the third stop on Dr. Richard’s trip are coming together after a great deal of prayer and perseverance. We thank the Lord Jesus! Please ask Him to bring the right people together at the right time(s), to give Dr. Richard wisdom as he communicates, and to spur a robust delegation for the GProCongress. We praise Him for how He is moving all of us and the Congress forward for His honor and joy.

Praying RREACH into the New Year

Dear friends,

New Year greetings on behalf of Dr. Ramesh Richard! We ask you to join us in prayer for all that this next year might hold.

Dr. Richard’s 2014 State of Humanity address today became available to a large swath of humanity. Please enjoy it at LifeRocks.org or “like” our LifeRocks page on Facebook. God overwhelmed us with the response to the 2013 Media Outreach effort. For a detailed look at the response we received, click here.

Please also pray for the 2014 Media Outreach efforts:

  • For the newly revised social media- and Internet-based Media Outreach strategy to reach many seekers and those who haven’t even thought of seeking the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • For all who will watch Dr. Richard’s videos; ask that they will hear and receive the message.
  • For discerning conversations with our follow-up team as they respond to questions.
  • For sufficient funding to maximize the outreach.

Today we also enter year five of our decade-long human capital campaign, the Global Proclamation Commission. Please pray for God’s presence, provision and protection for this mega project and especially for the location of the Global Pastoral Trainers Congress.

In light of the recent super typhoon that devastated the Philippines, we’ve found it necessary to prayerfully consider the next steps of the Congress. Humanly speaking, it no longer appears that the Congress can be held in that country in 2016. Please specifically pray for wisdom, gratitude and humble confidence to make the right connections for the Congress.

All that we are looking forward to comes on the heels of an amazing year marked by God’s faithfulness. To read more about our ministry efforts in the most recent quarter, along with a devotional from Dr. Richard, a prayer calendar and more, please view the online version of our newsletter, the RR Crossing, here. Our RREACH motto “Only God” is the only thing we actually know for sure. Having wrapped up 2013, if even one of our plans will see fruition, or if one of our needs is to be met in 2014 and beyond—Only God will do it. We know you pray for all our fund budgets to be met. Please join me in praising the Lord in advance for letting us find all the resources He has reserved for us. If you want to make a 2014 tax-deductible gift to RREACH, you can do so soon in the New Year or all year long at our secure online donation site.

For His glory,
Edie Ross
