GPA Grenada

Pastor S, 2015 Dallas GPA grad from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, helped teach sessions at GPA Grenada.

Dr. Richard is headed to Grenada for the GPA Grenada graduation and several other speaking engagements. Please pray for God to use him powerfully to encourage the pastors, business and government leaders, and others to whom he ministers. Pray also for his health and safety.

RREACH’s second GPA for women is set to begin Tuesday, July 24, in Nigeria. Visa issues have hindered some RREACH staff from getting into the country. Pray that the Lord will make the way for organizers and potential attendees to arrive safe and sound, and for the Holy Spirit to specially connect, unite and strengthen the women. Please also intercede for the funding needed to hold all the national GPAs scheduled this year.

The Lord willing, later this month Dr. Richard will record another set of LifeRocks short video messages for people who don’t know much about the Lord Jesus Christ. Please ask God to inspire him as he prepares. Also pray for a smooth production process.

Venezuelan pastors have gone to a lot of effort to organize a conference for local pastors and a talk on success for area professionals and leaders August 2 – 6. However, Dr. Richard is still waiting for his visa. Pray for it to be granted and arrive quickly, and for this trip to be a tremendous blessing to a troubled country.

2018 Dallas GPA – Final(s) week

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • It’s the final week of Dallas GPA 2018! Pray for everyone.
  • Dr. Richard has a heavy teaching/speaking schedule the rest of this week. Please pray.
  • Pray for the pastors as they travel home and go back to the demands of ministry.
  • Ask the Lord to bring the right connections and personnel needed by the GProCommission team.

2018 Dallas GPA delegates prayingPraise God for the experience of the 2018 Dallas GPA! He has blessed over and over again through the three rigorous weeks. The delegates need prayer in these final days of instruction, study and deepening personal connections. They are tired and missing home, but reluctant to say goodbye. Pray for all the staff, too.

Dr. Richard is scheduled to teach two days yet this week, as well as finish and deliver  Saturday’s graduation banquet message on . Please pray for his final moments with the pastors to be sweet and for good quiet time as he prepares for the banquet.

We also ask for prayer cover for the pastors as they travel home over Sunday and Monday. Pray for safety, smooth travels and wonderful reunions with their loved ones. Pray for their adjustment back to the daily life of ministry and discernment in how to apply what they have learned. Pray that they will be able to keep in touch with each other for mutual encouragement.

Praise God for the GProCommission team as they continue the gargantuan work of helping connect, unite and strengthen pastoral trainers around the world. As the 2018 Dallas GPA grads go forth, they will benefit from the GProCommission’s highly personal and intentional follow-up. The GPro team is asking the Lord to bring connections who can introduce them to pastoral trainers not yet part of what we call the “GProCommunity” and for personnel to help in various areas.

Thank you for upholding us, wonderful prayer warriors!

For more and better proclamation

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • Ramesh Richard has two memorial services for his dad in India this weekend.
  • The latest Dallas Global Proclamation Academy candidates applying for visas were rejected.
  • GPA Zambia wraps up this week; GPA El Salvador is coming.
  • The GProCommission team is sourcing pastoral training content for updates and blogs.

The bigger picture:

Dr. Richard is to participate in memorial services for his dad this weekend in Delhi and Chennai, India. Please continue to intercede for the Richard family. Also intercede that many will embrace the Good News proclaimed at these services.

Two Dallas GPA candidates were denied visas this week. Strong prayer is still needed on every applicant’s behalf. Pastors scheduled for interviews next week include M – Haiti, J – Vanuatu, S – Gabon, and M – Burkina Faso. We’re also beginning to search for airline tickets. Please pray for good itineraries at the best possible prices.

GPA Zambia classroom

The second national GPA held in Zambia finishes this week. Thank God for the 28 young pastoral delegates and ask Him to further connect, unite and strengthen them as they get back into the daily demands of ministry and life. GPA El Salvador is coming March 18. We pray for God’s Word to be proclaimed more and better in every reach of the globe as a result of national GPAs.

The GProCommission team is always on the lookout for high quality, engaging pastoral training material that is applicable across many cultures and contexts. Pray that God will alert us to such resources. Pray, too, for more pastoral trainers to become connected, united and strengthened through our efforts.

Follow-up, fruitfulness, family

Dear praying friends,

The brief:

  • Dr. Richard’s ministry in two difficult countries was fruitful
  • Five Dallas GPA candidates now have visas; 23 others will be applying/reapplying
  • Dr. John Richard (95), Dr. Richard’s father, is ill
  • GPA St. Lucia is in progress
  • High-level security issues forced the cancellation of a national GPA

The bigger picture:

Dr. Richard’s meeting with friends of friends in a restricted area led to good discussion and ongoing interest. He also had a somewhat impromptu opportunity to speak with young entrepreneurs. Praise God and pray for good follow-up and transformed lives.

We thank God for five Dallas GPA candidates with visas. Five have been declined, although four plan to reapply. Pray for the pastor wrestling with the disappointment of not being able to come. Also pray for these pastors with upcoming appointments: T, Cameroon; K, Liberia; E, Brazil; S, Gabon; A, undisclosed.

Dr. John Richard (95), Dr. Richard’s father and “spiritual hero,” is having health issues. Please ask the Lord to watch over him and guide the family in caring for him.

GPA St. Lucia began February 1. Pray that the young pastors attending will be specially connected, united and strengthened. Also pray that a shipment of books they need will arrive in time.

The international events team is aiming for 25 national GPAs this year—a large undertaking. Pray for new ways to establish connections for national GPAs. One scheduled for pastors from a closed country had to be cancelled because of high-level security issues. Please pray for the brothers and sisters courageously proclaiming the Lord Jesus there.

For the very best…of many…everywhere.

Praying around the world

Dear praying friends,

We heard from people around the world who prayed for Dr. Ramesh Richard as he spoke to a group of influencers last week—what a blessing and encouragement! “God did speak through me,” he reported. “I sensed it…and so I am told.” May God multiply its impact.

Ramesh is now in the middle of a three-city trip in South Asia. His upcoming engagements include speaking at one of the fastest-growing churches in the region, a mega youth conference, and a pastors conference. Plus, many people wish to meet with him. Praise God for these opportunities! Pray for the right words at the right moments, physical and spiritual protection, and, ultimately, for more people to embrace the Lord Jesus Christ.

We’re excited about the young pastors who have recently graduated from GPA Niger and GPA Mongolia. Please intercede that they will apply what they learned and continue to encourage each other. GPA Cuba and GPA Mexico are coming up.

Also lift up the GProCommission team’s efforts to connect, unite and strengthen trainers of pastors. The range of needs in this area is vast—but God is providing as we pray! An associate who can communicate with a significant language group recently joined in the work.

Around the world in seven days

Dear praying friends,

Around the world in seven days…that was Ramesh Richard’s agenda last week. He stopped in Bangkok, Thailand, for three engagements (and a meeting) in one day to remember Rev. Enoch Sirikul, visionary leader and national host for the GProCongress, one year after his graduation to heaven and to encourage believers from across the nation to carry on proclaiming the Lord Jesus Christ.

A stop in Romania allowed Ramesh to meet GPA Romania delegates and deliver their graduation message, as well as lecture at a Baptist university in Bucharest. “The Lord has graciously helped me again…through a strenuous schedule and its vulnerabilities,” he said. Praise God for His steadfast care of Dr. Richard. Pray for enduring fruit from these ministry opportunities.

GPAs Guinea (Conakry) and St. Vincent and the Grenadines also finished last week. Please ask the Lord to specially connect, unite and strengthen the pastoral delegates as they return to the demands of daily ministry. On the Dallas GPA front, 22 pastors now have visas! Continue to intercede for those still applying. Also pray for provision as they prepare to come.
