Dr. Richard and delegates opening the 2015 Dallas GPA in prayer

Dear praying friends,

Dr. Ramesh Richard and RREACH are seeking ministry partners available and willing to give special, focused, concentrated prayer covering to the 2017 Dallas GPA. Would you consider committing to pray for this effort? For those willing to serve in this capacity, we are asking for the following commitment:

  1. Pray regularly for delegates. We will send a schedule of visa appointments and updated needs and praises periodically.
  2. In May, we will begin sending updates once a week, and during the GPA, three times a week.

Some Dallas GPA needs will be posted on this blog, but more in-depth information will be sent directly to those who sign up to be part of the GPA Prayer Commission. Here’s part of the most recent Dallas GPA prayer email:

  • We have 30 candidates, sixteen of whom have visas. We have someone working with the pastors this year on their visa interviews, since many pastors were denied in 2015 and had to reapply. Unfortunately, the global climate of 2017 is difficult, and we are still experiencing difficulty.
  • Pray for communication with the pastors. We have a few pastors we have not been able to contact in a couple of weeks, by either email or phone. Communication is key in helping them obtain their visas, purchase flights, etc. Please pray for communication barriers to be broken. Pray that the pastors will schedule their appointments ASAP and that we will hear from them soon.
  • Pray for the pastors as they need to raise half of their airfare. Many struggle, since half of the airfare may represent several months’ wages.

One of the greatest needs right now is for pastors to find favor as they apply for visas. (To pray specifically over each pastor applying, please sign up to receive the emails.)

We are in desperate need of faithful, available and willing partners like you to pray for the 2017 Dallas GPA. If you would like to serve in this important way, please email mary@rreach.org. Thank you!

2015 Dallas GPA has begun: Special request for week one

Dear Praying Friends:

“What you have heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 1:13

Praise:

-For the safe arrival of all 26 pastors.

-That the one pastor who was feeling ill is better and the other pastor whose luggage was missing has arrived.

-For a wonderful opening day, making the pastors feel especially welcome and setting the tone for a good GPA experience.

-For the very practical study outline provided by Dr. Ramesh Richard that helps train our pastors in biblical preaching.

Pray:

-That the pastors would be encouraged by and attentive to the Master Coaches of the first week: Dr. Ramesh Richard, Dr. David Dockery, Dr. Bill Brown, Dr. George Murray and Dr. Bryan Chapell.

-For clarity and effectiveness of instruction from the Master Coaches.

-For the fellowship of the 2015 GPA pastors to overflow into lifelong ministry partnerships with each other and with previous GPA graduates.

-As each pastor gives a formal ministry report, for the entire group to be stirred to glorify God (cf. Acts 14:27.)

-That the time the pastors spend one-on-one will develop into rich bonds of personal and ministry partnerships.

-For wisdom as the pastors consider the best uses for the material they are gathering.

-For the lessons to speak to the personal heart of each pastor. May they sense the leading of the Spirit.

-For good attendance at Global Impact meals.

-That the remainder of Dallas GPA funding is received and that the Lord provides for half of the pastors’ airfare.

-That all events during the Dallas GPA will be well planned and attended.

-Protection over and unity among the RREACH staff.

Specific and timely prayer requests on behalf of Dr. Richard

Dear praying friends,

After an intense weekend of meetings related to the four-year follow-up of the GProCongress, Dr. Richard is off on another trip. In fact, between now and the beginning of the 2015 Dallas GPA, he expects to be home only three days. Would you please pray with us over the following?

  • At President Paul Nyquist’s invitation, Dr. Richard will be presenting the GProCongress during five 5-minute slots throughout the Moody Pastor’s Conference this week. Dr. Richard (and Brian Considine, mobilization director,) will have prime opportunities to share the Congress with potential attendees, networkers, staff, etc., and to make vital connections.
  • Nepal continues to quake, literally and figuratively, in the aftermath of the massive April 25 earthquake. The Lord willing, Dr. Richard will host a special half-day of encouragement for Nepali pastors and their wives May 29. Thanks to generous RREACH friends, we will also be able to provide each pastor’s family a precious, monetary encouragement, a small “love-gift.”
  • Praise! Twenty-three pastors now have the visas they need to attend the Dallas GPA. Four more are still attempting to get theirs, which also complicates getting reasonably priced flights to Dallas. We want the Lord’s right 25 (or more) here.
  • GPA Cambodia is in full swing. They continue until May 23.
  • The RREACH and GProCongress teams need our Lord Jesus Christ’s total protection and global provision during the intense 20 days until the Dallas GPA and 392 days until the Global Proclamation Congress for Pastoral Trainers—as well as during and for following up each.

We are grateful for you and for your intercession. Know that we pray and praise on your behalf, too!

GPA Tanzania underway; Dr. Richard set for “nonstop” 2-week trip through SE Asia

Dear praying friends,

God continues to sustain Dr. Richard through a demanding schedule (that is only going to get more so!) Over the past week he made strategic progress toward the GProCongress—now only 449 days away. He also prepared a deeply thoughtful piece on grappling with the atrocity of terrorism. Look for this important article in your upcoming RR Crossing newsletter, and pray for not only those undergoing appalling persecution, but also that testimony to the Savior will reach and transform the persecutors.

We also want to let you know God is granting favor to your (and our) prayers:

  • 14 Dallas GPA candidates have received visas, including one previously denied; eight more have appointments. We continue asking the Lord for the right 25 pastors, at least five from new countries.
  • Despite one car full of pastors breaking down on the way, GPA Tanzania has begun with 34 delegates. Pray for special connections, unity and strengthening. These elements are strategic to the uniqueness and effectiveness of all GPAs.
  • Dr. Richard is scheduled to speak at multiple events and has important GProCongress engagements over a two-week, three-country, four-stop sprint through Southeast Asia.
  • Intercede for a Program leader to join the GProCongress team at their on-site meetings March 30 – April 2.
