Praise for the privilege to serve

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • Praise God for the countless ways He has blessed Dr. Richard and RREACH.
  • Please keep praying for national Global Proclamation Academies (GPA) and pastoral training/pastoral trainer follow-up.
  • Pray for our Global Proclamation Associates (GProAssociates) gathering late October.
  • Pray for production of PASTORREACH, a media digest addressing questions from pastoral leaders around the world.

Dr. Richard led the RREACH office staff in a day of praise, prayer, reflection and planning this week. A special hour of prayer with global team members from 10 countries and eight different time zones around the world set the foundation for the next few months of ministry. We praise God for the privilege of serving Him and the multitude of other blessings He has poured on Dr. Richard and his ministry. Pray with us that He will continue to enable Dr. Richard to fulfill His gifting and calling.

Despite the danger, 37 young pastors in an undisclosed Asian country have gathered for a national GPA that will wrap up this weekend. Pray for them. Pray for academies coming up in Chile, Guyana and The Gambia, and for the strengthening of our follow-up with graduating pastors and with pastoral trainers through the GProCommission.

The Lord willing, a gathering of Ramesh Richard’s Global Proclamation Associates (GProAssociates) will come to Dallas in late October. Through this initiative, younger colleagues—select and proven Dallas GPA graduates—will initiate and respond as needed to pastoral training opportunities worldwide on Dr. Richard’s behalf. Please uphold them and us as we lay the groundwork in planning and resources for this important milestone moment. Some are still waiting for U.S. visas.

Another initiative rolling out in the next few weeks is PASTORREACH, a weekly, short video series featuring Dr. Richard answering real questions from real pastors about real life ministry around the world. Pray for the Lord’s direction and provision through the production process and that PASTORREACH will encourage many.

Accomplishing His assigned purposes

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • Praise God for using Dr. Richard’s ministry in Costa Rica to profoundly change lives!
  • Pray for Dr. Richard’s upcoming ministry engagements and for wisdom for future opportunities.
  • Pray for an upcoming meeting of proclamation associates in Dallas this fall.
  • Rejoice and pray for about 35 young pastors gathering for a national Global Proclamation Academy (GPA) in a restricted Asian country.

RR at CRCCThe Lord Jesus touched many lives through Dr. Ramesh Richard in Costa Rica last week. Praise Him! Two pre-evangelistic events, a two-day national preaching conference, a meeting of Christian leaders and a Sunday service, in addition to connecting with a number of individuals, filled his five days there. He sensed the support of our prayers.

Please pray for those who made decisions to embrace the Lord Jesus, for the local pastors and believers following up with them, and for the 90-plus pastors who attended the national preaching conference, organized by Pastor M, a Dallas GPA 2012 grad, who holds the RREACH Chair of Biblical Preaching and Pastoral Ministries at ESEPA, a major seminary in Costa Rica.

Dr. Richard has two lengthy international trips, a number of U.S.-based engagements, and multiple key meetings over the coming months. Please pray for the Lord’s hand to be on him and on all the preparations for these events. Pray that He will use Dr. Richard fully to accomplish His assigned purposes.

One upcoming event needing specific intercession is a gathering of proclamation associates in Dallas. Pray for their visas and for resources for this strategic next step in RREACH’s ministry.

GPA Central African Republic, held in that economically difficult country, wrapped up last week. This week a GPA begins in an undisclosed Asian country. Please ask for God’s protection and power over those who have gone back to daily ministry, and over the group gathering now. These national GPAs and other training initiatives are only as effective as their ongoing benefit to the pastors and their ministries. Pray that the Lord will direct and empower us to follow up effectively.

In his words: Ramesh Richard August update

Dear praying friends,

Any time I get to personally deliver God’s Word, whether in evangelism or edification, with a few or many, I live out what God has made, gifted, called and placed me to do. That’s why RREACH began and exists. Thank you for prayerfully supporting this proclamation ministry.

Barely had the Dallas GPA ended when I rushed off to Rochester, New York. In addition to the cooler weather away from a “blazin’ Texas,” it was a delight to deliver God’s Word to 600+ Bhutanese-Nepalese. Kicked out of Bhutan, they lived as refugees for 20 years in Nepal.

I got to challenge them to spiritual and moral commitments. Dozens responded to the invitation to re-start their spiritual life!

Then I touched Syracuse, where my father breathed his last only five months prior, and preached where my brother-in-law and sister serve. In February, I had to speak there the very day after he died. As difficult as it was, a dozen or so came to Christ. This time, many committed to living a life of surrender and abandonment to Christ and His cause.

Two international events fulfilled the multiplication side of this global proclamation ministry. Twenty-five pastoral leaders attended GPA Grenada, a small “isle of spice where everyone is nice” in the lower West Indies. I got to address the GPA graduation, joint Sunday services, a pastors gathering, their Prime Minister’s cabinet, and a pre-evangelistic outreach dinner. Half of the 80 guests were unbelievers and five men (men alone!), indicated a profession of faith.

Women’s GPAs are filled pastors’ wives and women who primarily teach women. At the end of each GPA, I “charge” them into the Gospel ministry by video or phone call. It was thrilling to get photos of WGPA Nigeria, of both prayer time and play time—women’s soccer! I don’t think these wives and mothers have played anything for a long time!

Thanks for making it possible to do what is humanly impossible, in ability or resources. You help us reverse the eternal destinies of large numbers of desperate individuals worldwide! You are a blessing to me and RREACH.

RR in Grenada 2

Dr. Richard spoke to Grenadian pastors and church leaders about spiritual convictions for leadership service

GPA Grenada finished on a high note last week as Dr. Richard was able to join the 25 young pastoral leaders for their graduation. Praise God and pray that they will remain connected, united and strengthened as they return home to daily demands.

While in Grenada, Dr. Richard also spoke at an event for opinion leaders, in two church services, with the Prime Minister’s cabinet, and for another group of pastors. Several individuals indicated making significant personal decisions. Please ask the Lord for ongoing fruit from his ministry there.

Dr. Richard is scheduled to speak at a Dallas-area church this weekend, record messages for his LifeRocks series on peace early next week, and speak several other times over the next month. Pray for good preparation time and for the Lord’s Spirit to be upon him for these engagements.

We need to make a decision very soon regarding Dr. Richard’s planned trip to minister to Venezuela pastors. Please ask the Lord for Dr. Richard’s visa to arrive immediately and for clarity about moving forward. Pray, also, for the pastors and families serving in this stricken country.

GPA Nigeria, RREACH’s second women’s GPA, began Tuesday. Praise God for the women who have gathered for training in preaching and living biblically. Pray for them to be connected, united and strengthened.

One aim of the GProCommission for Pastoral Trainers is to collaborate with pastoral training organizations around the world. Please intercede for insight on how to best do this. Thank you!

Papers arrived! Pray for fast turn-around

Thank you for praying! The documents we needed (see Urgent: Visa Needed) arrived this morning. Right now they are on the way to the consulate. Now please pray for fast turn-around, not only so Dr. Richard receives the visa in time for his trip, but also because the earlier we book the ticket, the less expensive it is!

Also pray for our hosts to be able to put to put together very specific and strategic events while they face many uncertainties. Pray that God will prepare the way for Dr. Richard to be used mightily in this nation which needs much healing and encouragement.

Dallas GPA 2018 – Week 2

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • We’re praising God for this year’s 26 wonderful GPA pastors and His blessing as we finish the second week of GPA!
  • Praise God for so many generous and welcoming friends who come alongside RREACH to make the GPA a special time for the pastors.
  • Continue to pray for comprehensive protection of pastors and staff.
  • Intercede for a momentous graduation and banquet evening.
  • Pray for details to come together for Dr. Richard’s upcoming trips.

Dallas GPA classroom 2.jpg

The 2018 class of Dallas GPA delegates is eager to learn, asking a lot of questions in class, and sharing ministry experiences and practices with each other. One pastor half-jokingly told Dr. Richard, “I’m an idiot!” He was referring to how much he is learning about the Scriptures and how much more he has yet to learn. Praise God for these young leaders and ask His favor on their remaining time here.

Praise God, too, for the many people who have helped make the GPA a great experience for the pastors. Volunteers, hosts, donors, prayer partners and more … all are expressions of His blessing!

We’re thankful that no major challenges have arisen for the pastors or their families. Please keep asking God’s complete protection over them and the staff. One staff member’s home was broken into this week. A great deal was stolen, but, praise God, no one was hurt and insurance will cover most of the loss.

Also pray for preparation for the GPA graduation and banquet. It is scheduled for, the Lord willing, Saturday, June 30. Pray for God’s anointing as Dr. Richard prepares his message and for his voice to return to full strength.

Dr. Richard is scheduled to speak in Dallas, New York, the Caribbean, Central America and South America this summer. Please pray for details to come together and meaningful engagement. Also ask the Lord’s direction regarding possible future events in Paraguay, Hungary and South Asia.

2018 Dallas GPA – Week 1

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

  • Praise God that all 26 pastors arrived and had a great start to GPA 2018!
  • Praise that Dr. Richard’s voice held up during his first day of teaching. Intercede that the pastors will quickly grasp all the teaching and see how to apply it.
  • Pray for the onsite GPA team to operate effectively, efficiently and with excellence.
  • Continue to ask God to provide Dr. Richard opportunities to proclaim the Lord Jesus evangelistically.

The bigger picture:Dallas GPA classroomWe praise the Lord for the trouble-free arrival of all 26 Dallas Global Proclamation Academy delegates for 2018. Please pray that they will enjoy getting to know each other. Pray that the Lord will place them with just the right host families this weekend and next.

Thank God that Dr. Richard made it through his first day of teaching. His voice is still weakened, though, and he would appreciate continued prayer as he is scheduled to teach extra days this year. Please intercede for each pastor to learn well and discern how to effectively apply what they are learning.

Uphold the GPA team onsite at Dallas Seminary and pray that they will operate effectively, efficiently and with excellence, by the power of God’s Spirit. Pray for them to be encouraged even in the middle of pressure.

We’ve seen answers to prayer as Dr. Richard’s schedule fills with speaking engagements. Praise God and pray for other opportunities to expose opinion leaders—the largely overlooked group of people with influence and affluence—to the Lord Jesus in thoughtful and winsome ways.

Thank you!
